On Friday, May 27 at approximately 7:30 P.M., Fountain Hill Fire Department (Lehigh County, PA) requested the services of Valley Search and Rescue.  Local police and fire officials were searching for a ten year old in a wooded area.  With dusk rapidly approaching, officials requested trained canines and responders to help ensure the child was safely located.  Within minutes, at least five team members and two canines were en route.  While additional details were gathered in preparation to place mutual aid search teams on standby, Fountain Hill Police and Fire continued their search and were able to successfully locate the child.
